National Championship changed to Dronacharya Stadium,Kurukshtra

 According to RSFI website the city to host the 49th National Roller Hockey Championship was changed. The initial plan was to dispute the Championship in Faridabad,but due to last minute unavoidable problems, was moved to Kurukshtra (Dronacharya Stadium, Sector-13), in Haryana.

Indian Roller Hockey Teams are getting ready for the 49th National Championship

The whole country is getting ready for the indian roller hockey national championship which is going to be held in Kurukshetre (haryana) from 29th jan. 2012 to 2nd feb. 2012 .

The teams who are going to take part in this mega event are(senior boys) :
1- JAMMU AND KASHMIR
2- HARYANA
3- CHANDIGARH
4- PUNJAB
5- DELHI
6- ANDHRA PARDESH
7- UTTAR PARDESH
8- MAHARASTRA
9- RASJASTHAN
10- TAMIL NADU
11- KERLA
12- KARNATAKA
13- MADHYA PARDESH

All these teams are getting ready for the championship.
AS PER THE NEWS THERE WILL BE 2 POOLS IN SENIOR BOYS AND THERE WILL BE LEAGUE MATCHES !!!

State Championships took place in some Indian State's

In Jammu and kashmir, ADDICTION RHC beat ROLLER ATHLETE SKATING CLUB BY 7-0 in state championship.

In Haryana, KURUKSHETRE beat FARIDABAD by 3-1 in state championship.

In Uttar pardesh, ALIGARH MUSLIM UNIVERSITY won the state championship.

In Maharashtra, AMRAVATI RHC beat MUMBAI by 4-1 in state championship.

In Chandigarh, HARYANA, PUNJAB AND DELHI the champioships will go on after the championship.

Aldo Baraldi returns to prepare the Montevideo 2012

An amazing news for Indian Roller Hockey!!!
After some years without come back to India Aldo Baraldi was invited again by RSFI to be the national coach of our country.
As we know India have this year two important competitions to dispute, FIRS B World Cup (held in Montevideo), and the Roller Sports Asian Games (not decided the city yet).

The Italian newspaper Gazzettadimodena has reported that Mr. Baraldi is  traveling, at this moment, to Faridabad, where will be hosted the national championship. The plan is to select over 30 players to the first conduct training and to meet with the leaders of the Federation, and State Associations.
Thus Mr. Baraldi will be in India during a month with our players for an initial preparation.
After this first stage, the group will have other meetings that will require the continued presence of Mr. Baraldi in India to select the final fifteen players.  

About is curriculum, Mr. Baraldi belongs to the legendary team of Amatori Modena, which has won two national championships. At the end of his brilliant career, was coach, of players like Davide Malagoli, Andrea Pontiroli, and his son Massimo Baraldi.  
Once again his knowledge of hockey has convinced the leaders of India Federation to return. His work in India allowed an effective progress on the technical-tactical and excellent results in the international competitions. Aldo Baraldi, will be accompanied by his wife Joan.


This is the right way and it is an excellent news that RSFI had done this agreement with an International Coach which can bring new ideas to develop our Hockey. Like other countries as Israel this is an important partnership to prepare the 2012 Competitions.

Punjab wins the U-19 School National Championship

PUNJAB U-19 SCHOOL NATIONAL TEAM
         

The U-19 School NAtional Championship was held in Delhi from 28th december 2011 to 2nd january 2012. Total 7 team were participated from across the country.

 There were 2 groups:

Group A
1- Chandigarh
2- Punjab
3- Maharashtra
4- Jammu and Kashmir


Group B
1- Haryana
2- Delhi
3- Madhya Pardesh



After league matches, Chandigarh, Punjab, Haryana and Delhi qualified for the semi-finals:

Punjab results in League matches:

Punjab 6-0 Jammu and Kashmir 


Semifinals:
Punjab 3-1 Haryana


Final:
Punjab 3-1 Chandigarh


For 3rd place Haryana beat Delhi.

Addiction RHC rising in World Ranking

According to international club's ranking, the best team of the world in the end of 2011 is FC Porto from Portugal with 2541 Points.

Addiction RHC the best Indian Team

In India, our best team is Addiction RHC in the 531st position
with 1230 Points while in the previous year the ranking for Addiction RHC was 668th.
The total number of clubs present in this ranking are 730, but Addiction RHC was the unique from India.

You can see here all this ranking and this fantastic work done by the Roller Hockey Fan, Fernando Castro, from Portugal, webmaster of portal Rink-Hockey.net.

This Ranking applies the same rules as other rankings used in tennis and other sports. The rules say that all competitions taking place in each country are considered for the points. Thus the reason to appear just Addiction RHC from India could be that just this club reported it results.
