2012 B World Cup change Data and Place

Logo of the Championship

As reported on 15th FIRS B World Cup held by Uruguay post (3rd October 2011) Uruguay will host the B World Cup this year.
Although the host city was supposed to be Montevideo, due to some reparations in the stadium, the host city was moved to Canelones,  being Gimnasio Municipal Sergio Matto the place to play the Championship (wood floor). Also the initial date, 20th to 27th October was changed, and the Championship will be held from 24th November to 1st December (According to Uruguayan source info).
Our sport is played at this city by one of the most important roller hockey clubs of Uruguay Pinamar Hockey.

Until now there are just a few informations about the organization of this important championship, where everybody wants to see again a lot of usual countries playing it and if possible new countries not used on it.
To note that is expected the presence of a "False Mexican team" supported by the "official" Mexican Federation, FEMEPAR.This false team will be composed by in-line hockey players, as happened in 2012 Women's World Cup in Alcobendas, with the support of FIRS. This is part of the strategy of this federation to not loose the place at FIRS to represent our sport, but all roller hockey fans know their real goal, kill our sport in Mexico. Although we hope one day there will be justice and the "Unofficial Federation", AHPM will have the opportunity to represent our sport national and internationally.

Hefei, China hosts 2012 Roller Hockey Asia Cup

After some doubts about the host city of the 14th Roller Hockey Asia Cup it was confirmed by Macau's Federation President, Mr. António Aguiar, that Hefei city, in China will receive this championship, in October. After Dalian, two years ago also in China, CARS (Roller Sports Asian Confederation) nominated again a Chinese city as host city of the most important Asian roller hockey tournament. Due to the lack of other applications to held the championship, this was the last option. To remember that the last edition of this Championship happened in Taipei, just with the presence of 3 National teams in both genres, India, Japan and Taiwan. being Japan (men's), and Taiwan (women's) the champions. Thus this is an excellent opportunity to do one of the greatest Asia Cup of last year, with the presence of more countries, than the last editions. At least, Roller Hockey fans are sure about the presence of Taiwan, Japan, India and Macau, but of course we dream with the presence of some more. For example Pakistan, where roller hockey proved to be alive during the last National Championship in December 2011. Furthermore, having China the opportunity to host the Championship, would be an excellent chance to have again a national roller hockey team. We can't forget that they are the second largest country power at this moment, and having a sport without them in XXI century it's not good... We can't also forget countries like South Korea and North Korea that for sometimes were also participating (North Korea was Champion for one time in 2001!!). But of course, the success of this competition will be possible, just with a lot of work done by CARS, presided by Mr. Sheng Zhiguo. This competition will happen one month after the B World Cup in Montevideo. To note that India is already preparing these two competitions, with the presence of an Italian coach, Mr. Aldo Baraldi.

Aldo Baraldi returns to prepare the Montevideo 2012

Mr. Aldo Baraldi (source:Gazzetadimodena)

An amazing news for Indian Roller Hockey!!!
After some years without come back to India Aldo Baraldi was invited again by RSFI to be the national coach of our country.
As we know India have this year two important competitions to dispute, FIRS B World Cup (held in Montevideo), and the Roller Sports Asian Games (not decided the city yet).

The Italian newspaper Gazzettadimodena has reported that Mr. Baraldi is  traveling, at this moment, to Faridabad, where will be hosted the national championship. The plan is to select over 30 players to the first conduct training and to meet with the leaders of the Federation, and State Associations.
Thus Mr. Baraldi will be in India during a month with our players for an initial preparation.
After this first stage, the group will have other meetings that will require the continued presence of Mr. Baraldi in India to select the final fifteen players.

About is curriculum, Mr. Baraldi belongs to the legendary team of Amatori Modena, which has won two national championships. At the end of his brilliant career, was coach, of players like Davide Malagoli, Andrea Pontiroli, and his son Massimo Baraldi.
Once again his knowledge of hockey has convinced the leaders of India Federation to return. His work in India allowed an effective progress on the technical-tactical and excellent results in the international competitions. Aldo Baraldi, will be accompanied by his wife Joan.

This is the right way and it is an excellent news that RSFI had done this agreement with an International Coach which can bring new ideas to develop our Hockey. Like other countries as Israel this is an important partnership to prepare the 2012 Competitions.

The total number of clubs present in this ranking are 730, but Addiction RHC was the unique from India.

You can see here all this ranking and this fantastic work done by the Roller Hockey Fan, Fernando Castro, from Portugal, webmaster of portal Rink-Hockey.net.

This Ranking applies the same rules as other rankings used in tennis and other sports. The rules say that all competitions taking place in each country are considered for the points. Thus the reason to appear just Addiction RHC from India could be that just this club reported it results.
