The Newspaper "The Hindu" has an interesting news talking about the Indian Roller Hockey, and about it national player Kunwardeep Singh.
"Karandeep Singh, and Kunwardeep Singh, XII B, The Indian School, participated in the 48th Sub Junior, Junior and Senior National Skating Championship held at Vishakhapatnam recently. Karandeep won gold medal in 1000m, silver in 5000m (Road) and finished fourth in half-Marathon, 21km. (Road). Kunwardeep took part in the seniors category and secured fifth position in above 16years boys category. They also participated in the 56th National School Games by School Games Federation of India (SGFI) held at Rajiv Gandhi Stadium, Bawana, Delhi. Karandeep won gold in 5000m (Road) and 1000 m, and silver in 300m, in the under-19 boys category. The team won bronze medal in under-19 boys category. Karandeep had represented India in the 2010 World Speed Skating Championship held in October at Gaurne (Medellin) Colombia. Kunwardeep represented India in the 14th Asian Roller Skating Championship held at Kaohsiung Chinese Taipei, where he was part of the Indian Roller Hockey team (Men) which won bronze medal."
It is really good for the promotion of Roller Hockey in India this kind of news.
